Inside Rophone's QC Lab: How Every LCD Video Brochure Card Is Tested

When brands order an LCD video brochure card in volume, the biggest worry is consistency: will every unit play the video when opened? At Rophone, quality control starts before assembly and ends after packing. Every card passes an 8-point QC inspection before it leaves our Dongguan factory. Here is exactly what we test.

1. LCD Video Brochure Card Quality Control: Incoming Material Inspection

Before any LCD video brochure card enters assembly, our QC team inspects incoming materials: LCD panels, lithium polymer batteries, PCBA boards, and cover cardstock. We check screen brightness uniformity, battery voltage, and board solder joints. Materials that fail are returned to suppliers. This first gate prevents 60% of downstream defects.

2. Video Brochure Card Assembly: 100% Playback Testing

After assembly, every single card undergoes 100% playback testing. Our operators open each card lid, confirm the video plays automatically, check audio volume, and close the lid to confirm the card stops. Any unit with a dead pixel, distorted sound, or failed auto-play flag is pulled from the line for rework. No defective unit passes to the next stage.

3. LCD Video Brochure Card: Drop and Flex Testing

Sampled units from every batch undergo drop testing from 80cm onto a concrete surface, three times per corner. We also run flex testing on the card hinge, opening and closing 500 times to ensure the flex cable does not fracture. Only batches that pass both tests proceed to packaging. See the full electronic greeting card range to see how our QC standards compare across product lines.

4. Battery and Charging Reliability Testing

Every LCD video brochure card ships with a lithium polymer battery. Our lab charges and discharges sampled units through 50 full cycles, measuring capacity retention. We also test charging via mini-USB, verifying the charging indicator lights up and the card powers on correctly. Batteries must retain at least 80% capacity after 50 cycles to pass.

5. LCD Video Brochure Card: Final Visual and Packaging Check

Before packing, QC inspects cover printing color accuracy against the approved Pantone swatch, checks for scratches on the screen, and verifies each unit includes the USB cable and any accessories. Cartons are sealed with Rophone tamper tape. We also record batch numbers on every carton for full traceability. This is how each card leaves our factory ready for your brand.
