Every country in the world has its own traditional festivals. Every festival, all kinds of gift boxes attract attention. But every festival, the preparation of New Year gifts has always been a bald work for the executives. In addition to figuring out what kind of gifts to make to satisfy the boss, employees and customers, we also need to consider how to make the gift box packaging attract attention in one second and quickly get out of the circle. Therefore, in recent years, various creative designs have emerged on the market one after another.

Behind the rise of creative luxury gift boxes, the problem has also emerged: corporate gift boxes seem to be in a luxury fashion - there are not many gifts, and they are packed in several layers.

"Gift box comparisons have already seen the phenomenon of corporate transmission?" Excessive packaging is neither economical nor environmentally friendly, this trend should be killed!

1. Refuse to overpack, the arrow is on the string

To limit excessive packaging, from different dimensions, the reasons are mainly as follows:

01. High cost of overpackaging and low employee satisfaction

In our observations over the past few years, we have found that behind the competition of the company's New Year gift box packaging, it is more about the comparison of packaging, paying more attention to the ritual sense of unpacking, rather than the comparison of the cost-effectiveness of gifts, and the true meaning of the New Year gift box. .

The cost of various designs, materials, etc. brought about by packaging, in the final analysis, is paid by the enterprise itself. For the same gift box cost, if more spending is spent on packaging, employees can only get unaffordable gift boxes, but only a few gifts, which will naturally lower satisfaction, which is really worth the loss.

02. The latest national standards have been released, and the transition needs to be done in advance

A few days ago, the State Administration for Market Regulation released a set of data on packaging waste at a special press conference on the theme of "National Standards for Restricting Excessive Packaging of Commodities - Food and Cosmetics" -

According to research, my country's packaging waste accounts for about 30% to 40% of urban domestic waste, and most of these packaging wastes are generated by excessive packaging.

It can be seen that, not only limited to corporate gifts, excessive packaging in the "fake a box" style not only wastes resources and energy, but also increases the burden on enterprises, buyers or recipients, and the packaging waste generated is even more pollution to the environment.

At the press conference, a new national standard "Restriction of Excessive Packaging Requirements for Food and Cosmetics" was also released. The new standard specifies the packaging void ratio, the number of packaging layers and the packaging cost requirements, as well as the corresponding calculation, detection and determination methods.

The new standard will be officially implemented on September 1, 2023, setting a two-year transition period for businesses and markets. Although the latest standard published is only aimed at the food and cosmetics industries, we can also see a strong trend of restricting excessive packaging, and we also suggest that enterprises should take the initiative as soon as possible to transform the packaging design of New Year gift items as soon as possible, and get rid of packaging design. dependency.

03. Fulfilling social responsibilities, enterprises have a long way to go

In addition to cost control and the requirements of national standards, there is another reason that is equally important-

With the dual carbon policy, China strives to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality are the most popular words in 2021 and the main line for the development of various industries in the next 10 years. Therefore, consciously practicing the concept of green environmental protection, starting from the details, and producing and using more green, environmentally friendly and low-carbon products are the unshirkable social responsibility of each enterprise. From the perspective of strategic planning, it is also the need for long-term development of the enterprise.
